Kira Galbraith is a child advocate, community organizer, and aspiring social worker. She is an undergraduate student at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, studying Human Services & Social Justice with a minor in Spanish Language. Kira began her service with CDF Freedom Schools® in 2020 as a Servant Leader Intern in Anacostia, D.C. She has served as a Servant Leader Intern and a STEM Activities Consultant and is currently an Ella Baker Trainer. She hopes to continue her educational path by getting her doctorate in social work and starting her own practice to help traumatized youth in low-income communities.
Originally from Berkeley, California, she co-founded BAStA, a student-led organization to lobby for common sense gun reform and served as the Youth Director for Women’s March Oakland.
Kira continues to fight for the rights and voices of youth.
