Channing is a Gen Z activist and social strategist from the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area in Texas. A recent graduate from the illustrious Howard University, she was honored in 2022 at the NAACP’s 53rd Annual Image Awards as Youth Activist of the Year. As an experienced and tenacious young professional and advocate, Channing is keenly focused on opening doors and expanding horizons so we can dare to dream bigger and reimagine solutions to issues of justice and socioeconomic disparities.
Channing’s commitment to social justice is rooted in a firm belief in community and radical black traditions. As a Black Queer Woman, Channing hopes to inspire audacity and courage in youth to speak up and begin dismantling structures of oppression. She exemplifies this conviction through her commitment to working in and creating environments that make a difference.
