An author and radio host, she led NYC’s Racial Justice Commission, pioneering structural reforms and ending solitary confinement in city jails. Co-chair of the National True Cost of Living Coalition, she advances economic security standards nationwide. Jennifer serves as vice chair of the National Action Network, a member of advisory boards at Fordham University and Harvard Law School, and a commissioner on New York State’s Community Commission on Reparations.
