Doan Phuong Nguyen loves reading fiction for children and young adults, hanging out with her husband, playing with her adorable son, and cuddling with her fur babies. She is a huge animal lover and would have an entire zoo if she could. Doan Phuong was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when she was in elementary school. Her desire to be a writer sprouted from the time she first heard the clickety clack sound from her dad’s old typewriter. If you read, A Two-Placed Heart, you will learn the story of how she became a writer at a young age. She received a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. in Creative Writing for Children and Young Adults at the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
