In honor of CDF’s 50th anniversary, we are launching the “Marian Wright Edelman Day of Service” paying homage to our founder. The Marian Wright Edelman Day of Service will occur on November 4, 2023.
The Day of Service will be both an active, in-person mobilization in Washington, D.C., at the culmination of the Children’s Defense Fund National Policy Forum and 50th Anniversary Celebration, as well as local mobilizations in communities across the country. The event will be centered on CDF Freedom Schools®.
