Rev. Muriel L. Johnson is the CEO of Bishops INK LLC, a consultation firm for clergy and communities. Known for her compassionate leadership, she combines prophetic and pastoral duties with integrity. Originally from Biloxi, Mississippi, and raised in Brooklyn’s Brownsville, her experiences shape her worldview. Rev. Johnson earned her B.S. in Urban Education from Harris-Stowe State University and an M.Div. from Eden Theological Seminary. An ordained American Baptist minister, she was the first woman licensed by Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Madison, Wisconsin, and has served various congregations. As the Executive Regional Associate Minister for the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region, she supported 90 diverse congregations. A proud elder of St. Louis’s “Dream Woke” village, she resides in Suffolk, Virginia, surrounded by her family.
