Michael-Ray Mathews (he/him/his) brings over 35 years of leadership experience as a non-profit leader, organizer, multifaith leader, and podcaster. Most recently, he served as deputy director and Chief Faith Officer for Faith in Action (formerly PICO National Network). He hosted the Prophetic Resistance Podcast, engaging multifaith leaders in conversations about cultivating communities of belonging and sacred resistance to injustice. Rev. Mathews is the immediate past president of the Alliance of Baptists, a progressive movement for justice and healing, and co-editor of Trouble the Waters: A Christian Resource for the Work of Racial Justice. A senior fellow at Auburn Theological Seminary in New York, he is also co-founder of and public theologian-in-residence with Sympara, a multifaith/inter-spiritual community of practice repurposing spiritual assets for the common good. He is also a senior fellow with the American Leadership Forum Silicon Valley.
