Rev. Dr. Marilyn Pagán-Banks (she/her/hers/ella), a queer womanist minister and lifelong co-learner, is dedicated to liberating oppressed peoples and fostering community in Chicago. As executive director of A Just Harvest, she fights hunger and poverty while serving as a pastor at San Lucas United Church of Christ. Additionally, Rev. Dr. Pagán-Banks teaches at McCormick Theological Seminary and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. A certified yoga teacher, she contributes to publications like “Words of Her Mouth: Psalms for the Struggle” and “Explore: Vocational Discovery in Ministry.” Recently elected to the 24th District Council of Chicago, she champions community-centered police accountability and fosters thriving communities through imagination and healing. She lives in Chicago with her spouse, and she cherishes time with her three children and 12 grandchildren.
