Peter Leonido is a Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) Alumni, from the Class of 2021. Born and raised in the Westlake-Rampart community in Los Angeles, Peter became involved in HOLA through the
HOLA Music Studios, as a drummer for the programs’ youth jazz band. From there, Peter participated in HOLA’s LEAL College and Career Readiness Program in high school. Lastly, Peter served in HOLA’s High School Leadership Youth Council as the President, where he helped coordinate various financial literacy and community engagement workshops for the HOLA community, hosted a clothing distribution with Jordan Brand, and worked with Invest in Youth to lay the foundations for the development of the City of Los Angeles’ Youth Council. Today, Peter is an active HOLA Alumni, and is a undergraduate senior at UC San Diego, double-majoring in sociology and education, where he hopes to serve the communities that helped raise him.
