Kenya Murray, MPH, CPH, brings over a decade of epidemiological expertise to her work at the intersection of maternal health equity and infectious disease epidemiology. With a background spanning domestic and international settings, she focuses on understanding, preventing, and reducing maternal morbidity and mortality among minority women and underserved populations. Formerly at the CDC, Kenya conducted local and multistate outbreak investigations, notably during the U.S. Ebola and Zika outbreaks. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, she led New York City’s Mortality Surveillance Data Team and developed the city’s contact tracing program. Murray is an accomplished author and presenter who contributes actively to the public health community. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the same institution.
