Child Watch 2025

A public platform led by and for foster and transition-age youth.

Child Watch uplifts youth voice, leadership, and vision for systems change. Hosted by CDF-California (CDF- CA), this event centers young people with lived experience in foster care as they lead conversations, share policy priorities, and shape the systems that impact their lives.

This year’s event will feature the inaugural Radical Imagination Fellows—eight youth leaders supported by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. Over six months, they’ve engaged in training, policy research, and storytelling to explore urgent issues and imagine bold, community-rooted solutions.

Join us for youth-led panels, story mapping, and interactive workshops as Fellows present their findings. Some sessions will include adults with lived experience in care and leaders in youth justice and education equity, offering intergenerational insight and shared advocacy.

Fellows’ priorities reflect their lived experiences and may include housing, mental health, access to education, and sustained adult connections.
