Children’s Defense Fund celebrated 50 years of service in 2023. Children’s Defense Fund- Texas will continue the celebration as a part of the national initiative to recognize our 50 years of unleashing the joy in growing up. On October 24, 2024, we are hosting the 2024 CDF-Texas’ Celebration of Joy— Honoring our Legacy and Building our Future! We are also celebrating 25 years of serving Texas children, youth and families. The theme reflects our appreciation for the sacrifices made by those that laid a foundation of service and our hope for the next generation to continue the work in the future. Our focus for the event is celebrating the dignity, hope, and joy of our children, honoring the advocates who tirelessly fight for their rights, and showcasing the talents of our young people.
