Honoring our Legacy and Building our Future
Children’s Defense Fund celebrated 50 years of service in 2023. Children’s Defense Fund-Ohio will continue the celebration as a part of the national initiative to recognize our 50 years of unleashing the joy in growing up. On September 19, 2024, we are hosting the 2024 CDF-Ohio’s Celebration of Joy— Honoring our Legacy and Building our Future! The theme reflects our appreciation for the sacrifices made by those that laid a foundation of service and our hope for the next generation to continue the work in the future. Our focus for the event is celebrating the dignity, hope, and joy of our children, honoring the advocates who tirelessly fight for their rights, and showcasing the talents of our young people. We will also highlight key features of CDF-Ohio’s Freedom Schools. Reverend Dr. Starsky Wilson, president and CEO of Children’s Defense Fund, and Reverend Dr. Otis Moss, Jr will join us as special guest speakers, along with our 2024 Celebration of Joy award honorees.
