CDF-NY Child Welfare

In New York, the child welfare system’s effect on children of color, youth and families is well-documented. The State has recognized the impact of child welfare policies and practice on communities of color for more than a decade. Through our work with young people, we advance policy advocacy that reduces contact between the system and communities and builds up the individual and collective resources that young people say they need to thrive.
