Reginald Williams

Rev. Dr. Reginald W. Williams Jr., born and raised in Chicago, is a pastor committed to liberation theology. He holds degrees from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, Florida A & M University (cum laude), the University of Wisconsin Law School, and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University, where he earned his M.Div. (2002) and D.Min. (2017). As associate pastor for Justice Ministries at Trinity United Church of Christ under Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr., he has been pastor of First Baptist Church of University Park, I.L., since 2008. Dr. Williams, a respected adjunct professor at McCormick and Chicago Theological Seminaries, is a sought-after speaker and prophetic leader, honored for his service and dedication to social justice.
